Anyone who is thinking about moving to South Carolina should give it some serious consideration. Not only is this a beautiful area to relocate in, the cost of living is great and wonderful housing opportunities are available all over the state. The summers can be warm with high humidity, but a day at the ocean will take care of that. The beaches are some of the best and visitors and locals alike love to swim, play in the sand and enjoy family time in the cool breeze of the Atlantic ocean.

The almost fifty state parks make great places for families to relax and enjoy the outdoors. They are very accessible and used widely by tourists and local residents. South Carolinians are friendly and enjoy newcomers. They welcome them with open arms and love to share their state with them.

Of course history is everywhere and for the history buff, this is a dream area to live in. Visit one of the beautiful plantations or take a tour of some of the old homes. Whether someone is looking for a bit of history or some fun in one of the popular water parks, this area can provide it all. South Carolina should be considered the top of everyone-s list as a place to consider when relocating.

Everyone’s excited about football season but South Carolina residents are probably a bit more so. We’ve got some great teams here and whether you’ve got Direct Star TV or you have to catch what you can on basic cable you’ve got to check out the best SC teams
Gamecocks: The University of South Carolina has long had a great program and with Steve Spurrior still at the helm there’s little doubt it’s going to be another banner year. The crimson and black had a lot of fight last season and we’re looking forward to seeing it again.
Clemson: There were rumblings a while back about Clemson moving from the ACC to the SEC but that’s been put on ice for now. The Tigers will long have a loyal fan base wherever they go so it doesn’t really matter which league they’re competing in.
Panthers: SC shares the Panthers with rival North Carolina but everyone’s equally excited about the addition of star quarterback Cam Newton to the roster. Whatever the outcome, this season’s got to be better than last.

The beautiful state of South Carolina is home to melodic southern accents, shrimp and grits, and palmetto-lined beaches. The Palmetto State has a lot to offer for everyone. A satisfying trip to South Carolina should include tours of the state’s historic towns, uncontaminated beaches, and charming state parks.

As you step off your plane, explore the city of Charleston. Begin your day at a hip diner that serves surprisingly savory menu items such as The Mess. This item is a biscuit topped with curried veggies, eggs, and hash browns. Next, explore the museums. One of the museums, erected in 1773, boasts some of America’s oldest exhibits such as Civil War weapons.

A trip to the Palmetto State without visiting Hunting Island State Park would be displeasing. Remember the Vietnam War scene in Forrest Gump? It was filmed here. Sit down and enjoy your lunch on the white sands of the state park’s beach. If you are more active, take a hike on the nature trails or surf in the lagoon’s sapphire-colored waters.

Don’t forget the large resort town of Myrtle Beach. If you’re a fan of fabulous seafood, mini-golf, and boutique shops, add Myrtle Beach to your stops in South Carolina! The information doesn’t stop now. Keep looking: Former NFL tackle Brandon Frye arrested for DUI

One of the best ways to see the Charlestown, South Carolina, peninsula area is on foot. Visitors will want to park at Charleston’s Waterfront Park, where they can use telescopes to observe Patriot’s Point, and also see many large Navy and cruise ships waiting to embark on their journeys. Visitors can enjoy splashing in the two large water fountains that are in the 12 acre park. Others sit on the bench swings, large enough to hold four people, while enjoying the breeze off the harbor.
Continuing on a walking tour of Charlestown, venture east from the park and arrive at the Battery. Visitors will be enchanted by the large antebellum homes, and the cobbled streets. Battery has been a public park since 1837, and was an important location during the American Revolution and the War of 1812, and visitors can see pieces of artillery used during the Civil War. Many visitors find they get lost in another world, watching the large sailing ships that frequent the harbor.
After enjoying the Battery stroll on to White Point Gardens. Originally named for the white oyster shells that covered the ground, it is now home to several monuments.
The best way to see Charlestown’s peninsula area is on foot. Play at Waterfront Park, before hiking on the cobblestone streets, past the antebellum homes to Battery and watch the large ships. Then visit White Point Gardens.
